Fallen soldier Dennis Brown's body brought home to St. Catharines

Several hundred people gathered on the Martindale Rd. bridge over highway 406 in St. Catharines this rainy Tuesday afternoon, Mar.10, 2009, awaiting the arrival of the escort from Toronto which was bringing back to his hometown the body of Canadian soldier, Dennis Brown.

It was just a week ago, last Tuesday in Afghanistan, when warrant officer Brown, along with two other Canadian soldiers, Cpl. Dany Fortin and Cpl. Kenneth O'Quinn, were killed when their armoured vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb northwest of Kandahar.

May their service and sacrifice never be forgotten.
