Democrat Healthcare Duplicity

Here's a bit more that the Kingston Whig Standard's Jordan Press "didn't tell' us in his July 4, 2009 "report" "Why Republicans focused on KGH":

(Oh, by the way, why wasn't the Niagara Health System's hospital in St. Catharines, Ont. mentioned in the American press?!? We would have welcomed the exposure. Our local Niagara LHIN is being investigated by the Ombudsman's office! The NHS in St. Catharines had the third highest patient death rate in Canada - and two years later, secretive local Liberal MPP Jim Bradley still hasn't given a public explanation why this happened in his Liberal government's health monopoly!! Bradley's Liberals are CLOSING ER's in south Niagara, cutting funding, raising taxes, and blaming hospitals for spending too much - all this while patients are trapped in the Liberal's no-other-patient-payer-choice health monopoly! Send a reporter, CNN... ABC... FOX... have a look, ask Jim Bradley or Premier Dalton McGuinty about these examples: (see http://rightinniagara.blogspot.com/2007/08/liberal-healthcare-duplicity-ontario.html )

In Jordan Press' report, Democrat Mike Dukakis wants to push a national health care program - but he wasn't able to provide it for his own state when he was governor. Dukakis used to like to point to Hawaii as an American health care Utopia ... (see: http://media.www.dailypennsylvanian.com/media/storage/paper882/news/1992/11/06/Archive/1106-2185967.shtml )

How did that experiment turn out?
(see: http://www.hawaiireporter.com/story.aspx?4904d58c-6296-45df-83ea-73b0b3f13f98)

Well, Dukakis isn't mentioning Hawaii as a universal health care dream anymore...
(see: http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2007/0707.Klein.html )

Hawaii cancelled its "Keiki" universal child health care program within 7 months, and politicians claimed surprise that it wasn't working, and that it was "helping those that didn't need it"... (!!)
(see: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,440561,00.html)

So having failed to create or cite an exemplary state-run health Utopia for Americans to behold with wonder and awe, Dukakis is bent on wreaking havoc nationally, creating massive problems which couldn't be contained even in one example state... So much for Dukakis' blowhard BS about Canada and "not the way you guys do it through the provinces".

Which brings us to Obama's big ABC television appearance, where he essentially admitted that the health care standards he was contemplating imposing for others would not be necessarily good enough for his own family - (see: http://hotair.com/archives/2009/06/25/obamas-michael-dukakis-moment/comment-page-2/ ) (see video: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2009/06/25/obama_wants_best_care_for_his_family.html )

The theme Democrat Healthcare Duplicity already comes to mind.
